Discover Sailing

If you are new to sailing or are thinking about giving it a go this is a great way to get a feel for what it is that hooks so many people.

We can take you and up to four others for a 90 minute introduction with a qualified RYA instructor who will take you from our clubhouse on a trip round the harbour and if the weather is suitable around the bay outside. This experience is generally in our RS Venture keelboat which is a stable boat for this purpose.

Once you're hooked on the sport you can continue your development through a range of RYA courses, which are offered here at Fowey Gallants Sailing Club.

You should bring a towel, shoes which you don't mind getting wet, a waterproof jacket and warm clothing. You will be provided with a buoyancy aid.

Pre-course requirements: No prior experience or knowledge is required.
Price: Price: £30, or £90 for a group booking.

If following completion of a try sailing session you decide to book a full RYA training course with Fowey Gallants Sailing Club in the same year we will deduct this fee from you course cost.
