Adult Training

Whether you're completely new to sailing or have experience, we offer tailored tuition for adults aged 16 and over. With our professional team of RYA-qualified instructors, you'll benefit from structured lessons that include on-water sessions and shoreside activities, adapted for weather and group needs.

RYA Level 1 Start Sailing - This introductory course is ideal for beginners looking to learn the basics of dinghy sailing. You'll gain the knowledge and skills to set up a boat, sail in light winds, and ensure safety on the water.

RYA Level 2 Basic Skills - Progress to becoming an independent sailor with this follow-up course. You'll refine your boat handling, develop wind awareness, and learn essential safety skills, including capsize recovery.

Duration: Five half days or two full days

Time: Half days - Monday to Friday from 10:00 - 13:00 or 14:00 - 17:00, Full days - 10:00 - 17:00

Price: £195 members, £250 non-members

Included: Boat, wetsuit, buoyancy aid hire, logbook, and certificate (on successful completion)

Adult Improvers Club

After you have completed your course you will no doubt be keen to continue your sailing development by spending time on the water. Or you may have sailed in times gone by and are keen to get your sea legs back.

We hold relaxed, informal sessions for Club members aimed at getting you on the water with like minded people and build your confidence. Adult Improver sessions are supervised by one of our instructors.

Pre-course requirements: Any skill or ability level, minimum age of 16.
