Dinghy Fleet

In addition to the Troy and Fowey River fleets there is handicap dinghy and keelboat racing in Fowey run on a handicap basis. The dinghies are split into groups which broadly speaking are fast/medium/slow to enable racing to be kept reasonably close.

Any boat with a PYS handicap is eligible to race and in the main this is organised by Fowey Sailing Committee (POFROC)The most popular dinghies are Laser (standard and radial) and Solo.

The club owns a number of dinghies used for training which may be available to club members for club racing on payment of a hire fee and the boats not being used for training at the time.and subject to individuals being able to demonstrate suitable levels of competence.
