RYA Training Centre - Learn to Sail in Fowey
Welcome to the RYA Training Centre at Fowey Gallants Sailing Club.
We offer friendly, professional sailing and powerboat training on the beautiful Fowey estuary in Cornwall.
Our training takes place on the sheltered waters of the Fowey estuary an ideal environment for learning to sail safely and confidently. Whether you are completely new to sailing, looking to build confidence on the water, or working towards recognised RYA qualifications, our experienced instructors will guide you every step of the way.
Our courses include;
- Discover Sailing a relaxed introduction to sailing
- RYA Dinghy Sailing courses for adults and juniors
- Powerboat training including Powerboat Level 2
- Safety boat training
- Shore-based courses
- Private tuition
Courses are run in small groups, giving everyone plenty of time on the water and personal coaching from our instructors.

Pricing & Membership Benefits
- Club Members: Enjoy discounted training course prices.
- Non-Members: Join the club within one month of completing a sailing or powerboat course and have the £20 joining fee waived. (Please contact us in advance to take advantage of this offer.) Note: This offer excludes half-day sessions and Discover Sailing experiences.
Joining the club not only gives you access to discounts, but also to our boats, facilities, and sailing events helping you continue your sailing journey beyond the course.
