Our Fleet and Boat Hire

Our fleet of sailing dinghies comprises the following boats. The range allows for development of children of seven years age through to single handed sailing and two-person boats with trapeze and asymmetric spinnaker.

The RS Venture keelboat is used primarily for 'Discover Sailing' sessions and also can be used for adult training. This boat is not for hire other than if booked as a session with one of our instructors.

The club has a few Toppers. These are used by the RYA as a youth racing development class and if any junior members have an interest in competing in some of the regional events please contact us to see how we can help.

Note boat hire is open to members on the basis a parent or guardian -in the case of under 18's - or another person otherwise is able to provide safety cover in their own boat. Boats may be used for club racing in which case safety boat cover is provided by the clubs.

In all cases the person hiring any boat must be able to demonstrate a suitable minimum level of experience either by recent attendance at FGSC training courses or production of RYA stage 3 for juniors, RYA level 2 for adults from another club or by demonstration or following assessment by one of our senior sailing instructions.Our boat hire policy is attached to this page.

Please contact the club before making any bookings and you will be given a reference to enter with your booking.
