Bar Update 23rd July onwards...
Aswe are all too aware, covid cases are still very much on the rise. Our main priority is to protect both staff and members alike and to continue to make Gallants a safe place to visit, so to that end the committee has decided that the club will not be fully easing restrictions and the following procedures will be effective from Friday 23rd July. We will stay with the Members, their guests and visiting

Fowey River Class Championships 2021
The 2021 (6 th ) Fowey River Championships took place over three days of the Whitsun weekend. Held in the Fowey estuary and the bay outside and hosted jointly by Royal Fowey Yacht Club and Fowey Gallants Sailing Club the format for the event was set to test different styles of racing with each day being different. Twenty-five boats took part and enjoyed a mainly sunny event with seven races completed. After last years cancellation

Racing restarts!
It was great to see so many boats out for the first race of the season on Saturday. The wind hung around, despite the forecast, which made for a better race than expected for our Fowey River and Dinghy fleets. Summer is on the way!

RNLI - Label Your Kit!
The MCA and RNLI are forecasting record numbers of people using our beaches and water this summer, and as a result the MCA & RNLI are increasing their water safety messages, as they are expecting to have to respond to this demand.
